Special joint meeting of <c4tb/> and the Tampa Bay Data Science Group. This will be the first reveal of Mosquito Control data received so far from the county. Come and get a jump on the hackathon by reviewing what’s in the 25MB zip file we should have by COB Monday. It may not be BIG data but it sure is important to help the county government optimize their mosquito fighting efforts and help protect the population from mosquito born illnesses.
Bring your laptops so you can dig in!
We need sponsors for the group and for the upcoming hackathon. Contact Mike T by clicking the link

Note the venue change. We’ll meet this month at Tampa Bay Wave so we can stay as long as we like and even bring beer if we want! Since free parking opens up at 6pm, I’ve made the official start time 6:30. I usually try to park exactly at 6 before spaces get gobbled up so feel free to show up early.
I went to Code for Orlando on Tuesday for their first ever Demo Day where they highlighted a few of the projects they are working on. A couple are easily extendable to Tampa so we will discuss how we could contribute.
And of course, the hackathon and website efforts continue.
Local government and community groups invited to bring their projects and requests for assistance to meetings!
